Infrastructure:
This college is located in Gwalior(famous for Sachin getting double century) and is one of the four MHRD funded IIIT in India.
Established in 1997 and named for Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the institute obtained the status of deemed university in 2001 and was recognized as an Institute of national importance The university campus is spread over 160 acres (0.65 km2) in the foothills of the Gwalior fort.Its official website -www.iiitm.ac.in. Gwalior is a decent city to spend 5 years of your crucial period of life.
How to reach the college:
The college is located about 6 kms from gwalior railway station.It is located just near to hazira police station. Yes coming to gwalior is easy as it takes almost 5 hrs. from Delhi to gwalior. Now the college is located in the outskirts of gwalior city. abviiitm location
Area around the college:
The nearest market is hazira where u can get almost all the shops.there is only one mall in gwalior DD mall which has famous food chains like mcd and dominoes and pizza hut (and don't worry as the institute is within the delivery range of these food chains).there is also many restaurants located in gwalior where u can get good quality food .and gwalior is not very expensive location.
ABOUT THE CAMPUS:
The institute is located on a 160-acre (0.65 km2) campus near Gwalior fort. It is a residential campus; faculty and students live on campus. It houses several departmental blocks with academic block houses lecture theatres, seminar halls, library, labs and faculty offices, administrative block, open amphitheatre, indoor sports complex and the [student hostels].

Hostel:
The campus has 3 boys hostel and 1 girls hostel.One hostel is completely dedicated to the first year students.The hostel is awesome with 24 hours electricity and water supply.In the first year students are provided rooms on the sharing basis,but from the second year onwards each student is allotted a single room.The rooms are very good and well ventilated.Each room has 100mbs LAN which work fine.Internet speed is great here(better than most of the colleges).Hostel is also provided with WiFi.There is almost complete home like feeling in the hostel and nothing incidents occur like theft etc. the hostel security is one of the most important concern.In each hostel there is a common room which is provided sports facilities like table tennis board and tv.
Mess:
Each hostel has its own mess which is completely vegetarian.The food quality is great compared nits and other iiit's. The mess is completely hygienic.
Library:
Library is awesome here.You could find almost all the books related to the topic relevant to the topic taught.The new central library is being build and is expected to start from this session onwards.It is very big and is a great place to hangout.
Faculty and staffs:
I will be honest with you guys.The curriculum is almost easy here.Each guys will have enough time for self study and trying out something new in life.The curriculum is designed in such a way that you do not feel any pressure doing dual degree course.
Sports complex:
This the best thing about the college. The sports complex has three table tennis board, four badminton court,a swimming pool,a billiards table,two squash court, a volleyball court,a football ground,a cricket ground,a basketball court,lawn tennis court.The curriculum is so relaxed that students here get enough time to practice their favourite sports.
Bus facility:
The college provides free bus service from college to railways station.
Other facilities:
The college has two canteens and a night canteen.It has also well functional gym in the sports complex.
Events in the college:
1. Infotsav: It is the technical and managerial event of the college.
2. Urja: It is the inter IIIT sports event of the college.
3. Twaran: It is the intra IIIT sports event of the college.All the IIITs and other college take part in this event.
4. Aurora: It is the cultural event of the college.
